About Oxytocin Acetate 10mg
Oxytocin was the first peptide hormone to be sequenced and synthesised, work that earned Vincent du Vigneaud the 1955 Nobel Prize, so its chemistry is thoroughly settled. Its research interest has shifted over time from the peripheral actions on uterine and mammary smooth muscle toward central effects on social recognition, pair bonding and trust. The main methodological problem in that newer work is delivery: the peptide crosses the blood-brain barrier poorly, so central and peripheral effects are difficult to separate cleanly, and interpreting results requires care about route.
Storage and reconstitution
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C in a dry, dark environment. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water. Once reconstituted, store at 2-8°C and use within 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for shipping and short-term storage.
