About Cagrilintide 5mg
Native amylin is co-secreted with insulin and signals meal termination, but it aggregates readily and clears quickly, which is why analogue design has focused on solubility and half-life. Cagrilintide addresses both through acylation, giving a duration suitable for weekly administration in published protocols. Its dual amylin and calcitonin receptor activity distinguishes it from selective agonists such as eloralintide, and comparing the two is a common experimental design.
