About IGF-1 LR3 1mg
Native IGF-1 circulates almost entirely bound to IGFBP-3, which controls its availability and clears it within minutes. The Long R3 analogue is engineered specifically to escape that regulation: the R3 substitution disrupts binding protein affinity while the N-terminal extension further reduces it. The result is a molecule with far greater free fraction and a much longer functional half-life, which is why it is the standard IGF-1 research form in cell culture. It is a recombinant protein rather than a synthetic peptide, so handling requirements are stricter.
Storage and reconstitution
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C in a dry, dark environment. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water. Once reconstituted, store at 2-8°C and use within 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for shipping and short-term storage.
