About Adipotide (FTPP) 5mg
Adipotide works on an unusual premise: rather than acting on adipocytes, it targets the blood vessels that supply them. The homing sequence binds prohibitin on white adipose vasculature endothelium, and the attached KLAKLAK domain then disrupts mitochondrial membranes in those cells, causing vascular regression and secondary adipocyte loss. It is a cytotoxic construct by design, which is the central consideration in handling it, and renal toxicity terminated the primate work that produced its best-known results. Strictly a laboratory research material.
Storage and reconstitution
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C in a dry, dark environment. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water. Once reconstituted, store at 2-8°C and use within 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for shipping and short-term storage.
